    Episode #5.1

    episode S5.E1 october 2013
Alex recovers from his operation and is followed home by Emma, a woman who tells him that his donor, Neil, had the power to rid people of their super-powers through having sex with him, and persuades him to rid her of her unwanted gift, the ability to cause accidents. He reluctantly complies. Back at the Centre Finn meets Lucy, one of a group of Scouts, who seems attracted to him but the group are in fact Satanists who force him to join them as an agent of the devil and commit demonic acts. When holy water fails to cure there is only one solution - Alex takes him from behind, which lifts the curse and saves Jess's life but lands him on Community Service. Meanwhile Rudy 2, against the advice of the original Rudy, joins a self-help group for those possessed of super-powers . Its leader, Maggie, is an elderly lady who knits the future, in Rudy's case a jumper which foretells that he and his friends will become super-heroes.

    Episode #5.2

    episode S5.E2 october 2013
Rudy is shocked to see his father Geoff (whom he had told he was at university) having sex publicly with another woman, Tina. Later, in company with Jess, Rudy sees Geoff threaten Tina and on a further visit they see him cleaning blood from the floor and burning her clothes. Determined to get to the truth Rudy goes for a drink with Geoff, who explains that, following the storm, he has the power to clone himself (like Rudy, though Rudy keeps quiet about that) and there is a bad Geoff, who has not killed Tina but stolen her money. Jess and Rudy help the good Geoff to restore Tina's money to her and, after the bad clone has tricked Geoff's wife Pat into having sex with him, they overpower him. The balance restored, Rudy tells his parents Jess is his girlfriend, thus dispelling their suspicion that he was gay. Abby finds a purple scarf with an enticing smell, which leads her to a girl called Laura, with whom she hits it off whilst at the support group Rudy 2 meets Sam, who claims he can fly - rather like one of the figures on Maggie's sweater - and Tim, who believes he lives in a violent computer game.

    Episode #5.4

    episode S5.E4 november 2013
After Rudy 2 goes missing the others encounter a befuddled old man who, from his tattoos, is clearly a geriatric version of the clone. Seeking answers to how he got that way the original Rudy, accompanied by Finn, goes to the support group but gets little help. Then Rudy discovers a young man threatening the elderly fellow and calling him Mr Johnson before trying to kill him. The youngster was originally an old chap called Mr Johnson and, following the storm, he received the power to swap ages with people - in this case Rudy 2 - so he can marry his young nurse. Rudy forces him to redress the balance and restore his clone before getting closer to Jess.Meanwhile Alex is reluctant to use his power on Stuart, whose unfortunate talent is to end up literally in the closet when he denies that he is gay, but he does give him good advice.

    Episode #5.7

    episode S5.E7 december 2013
Rudy 2 tells Rudy 1 that he wants them to live separate lives so he can be with Helen and, along with Abby, throws a party to celebrate their 'birth' days. Alex brings along Sara, the latest person whom he has relieved of their power but unfortunately he takes an ecstasy tablet, unaware that this will reverse his power so, after sex with Sara, she has taken on all the bad powers Alex has removed from others and in the end one of Sara's new powers saves the gang from her. Rudy 2 is pleased to meet his trio of super-heroes from the jumper, Helen who uses electricity to devastating effect, Karen who can become invisible and Sam, who can fly. They come in handy saving Rudy when Tim, who inhabits the computer game world, goes haywire and tries to kill him. Jess is less thrilled though when Maggie's latest knitwear shows her holding a baby.
