After being akumatized by Hawk Moth into Captain Hardrock, Juleka's mother steers a powerful ship and blasts her music for all of Paris to hear.

While having to go without Tikki, Marinette must stop Sandboy, a supervillain bringing the citizens' nightmares to life.

Marinette and her friends hang out at the Couffaine residence to listen to them play. Jagged Stone approaches them and explains that he is looking for a new guitarist after he fired his old guitarist Vivica. Suddenly, they are attacked by Vivica, who has been akumatized into "Desperada" and can capture victims in her guitar case with her magic trumpet. The group scatters and Ladybug fights Desperada, but is forced to retreat. Lucky Charm directs her to Master Fu, where she takes the Snake Miraculous and gives it to Adrien. Adrien decides to forego his role as Cat Noir in order to woo Ladybug directly and transforms into the snake superhero "Aspik", but after so many "second chances", his role ends up getting Ladybug hit by Desperada's power over and over again in so many ways. Realizing the error in his role, Adrien suggests to Ladybug that Luka should wield the Snake Miraculous instead. This allows Adrien to go back to being Cat Noir in which he's comfortable in. Luka transforms into the snake superhero "Viperion", and with a couple more "second chances", Ladybug, Cat Noir and Viperion are able to defeat Desperada. Afterwards, Jagged apologizes to Vivica and rehires her.

Hawk Moth akumatizes Chloé into Miracle Queen to make her take control of all Miraculous holders. Will Ladybug and Cat Noir be able to escape this fatal plan?

Since becoming the new guardian of the Miracle Box, Marinette has been overwhelmed. She doesn't see her friends anymore, abandons Cat Noir, and misses all her dates with Luka. Luka senses that Marinette has a secret, but she can't tell him that when she leaves, it is to become Ladybug and save Paris. Deeply hurt that Marinette doesn't trust him enough to confide her secret, Luka is akumatized into Truth. Helped by his sentimonster, Pharo, a giant eye capable of immobilizing people so that way Truth can hit people with his beam to tell the truth, he not only wants to know Marinette's secret but also Ladybug and Cat Noir's secret for Shadow Moth.

Marinette has avoided Luka at all costs since she broke up with him, because she likes Adrien, but the situation is affecting her friends. They decide to help the two talk on Juleka's birthday. The plan goes wrong and two people are akumatized.

Luka develops a special interest in Bob Roth, who would do anything to make money. Luka himself would do anything to defend his values and his friends.
