Meanwhile, Kelly suspects that his friend, Charlie Lear, is being framed for the murder of his mistress, even after his erratic behavior in the squad room points to his guilt. Fancy's wife tells him that she's pregnant again and he is less enthusiastic considering the complications of her two previous pregnancies. Also, Sipowicz falls off the wagon when he starts drinking again at a birthday party for Sylvia's father.
