Brenda is tempted to cheat on Dylan when she attracts the attention of Tim, a college guy in her exercise class. Dylan is tempted by his old surfing friend Sarah, whom he meets at an AA meeting and whose problem is worsening, for she is driven to the bottle by her abusive, equally alcoholic boyfriend. Meanwhile, Jim and Nat hope to boost business for the Peach Pit with karaoke, which is short-lived due to lack of interest from everyone except Jim.
