Kelso and Hyde's rivalry for Jackie comes to a near fistfight, until she calls out that "it's no fun for me anymore!" The pair realizes that she's been playing them against each other as revenge for their awful treatment of her over the years, and they demand she finally chooses. Next morning they all oversleep and the van is stolen, so the parents are terribly disappointed the kids all miss their own graduation ceremony...

The person in charge of Eric receiving the diploma is Michael Kelso's rather sleazy brother, Casey (with whom Eric has not gotten along, as both men were interested in Donna, who is now Eric's girlfriend). Casey, now a gym teacher, requires Eric to do a single successful pull-up to attain his diploma. Eric finally prevails. Kitty, there to support Eric, finds herself in lust over the fit and macho Casey, despite his treatment of her son.

He could have spared himself the trouble: she dumps him because her dad has decided to promote her to manager of his Milwaukee record shop, although she hasn't learned anything about the business, so Hyde is not happy - or didn't she get that right? Eric finally has the paperwork ready to study, but now Red announces his college fund is now lost on the muffler shop, and student counselor Mr. Bray is only interested in girls, especially Donna. When he finally finds a solution, it comes at the price of a year further away then either Kitty or Donna could accept.

He says he's not ready to get married yet - just in time for the arrival of Sam, who announces she and Hyde are already married.

Randy proves too inventive to let go. Getting drunk, 'scorned' Jackie shows the whole bar both her stupid arrogance and too much anatomy. Fez also gets seduced but not really.

Kelso's attempt to spring his mates goes completely pear-shaped, for him even dramatically.

Fez and Jackie confess to Hyde they wrote him about her falsely assumed infidelity with Randy, but anyhow Eric broke up even before their letter could arrive...

When the owner Mr. Visotsky scolds them for using several ketchup containers, they decide to exact revenging by kidnapping his orders-taking 'talking' emblem, clown Fatso. Missing Eric, Donna gets excited by the kick she gets out of crime, Hyde wisely calms her down. When Red discovers what they have done, for once he smiles, as he hated the stupid clown (Jackie was traumatized by them since the age of 5). Kitty, however, is behind the 'save our monument' campaign, so Red soon pretends to share her indignation and orders reparation.

Meanwhile Jackie has finally admitted she wants Fez, who now is no longer chasing her but Hllary, and reneges on monogamy. Donna takes her to therapy with Dr. Hammond, whose patients include Kitty, and whose own marriage is the opposite of what he preaches as basis for a good relationship.
