Meanwhile, Victor bets Kuzak his leather office chair that he can win in a no-win dog bite case. Abby meets with another lawyer in the building who takes her out on a date and tries to persuade her to go on with her life. Also, Becker turns to his secretary, Roxanne, for comfort when Hilary Mishkin leaves him. A fully restored Brackman comes to peace terms with his tenants and Andrew Taylor.

Meanwhile, Benny develops a crush on Becker's current girlfriend, Allison Gottlieb, the director for his divorce video, after he saves her from a rude bar patron. Also, Victor represents a hospital that does not want to let a brain-dead woman be taken off life support.

    While representing a couple suing a hospital that gave the woman an unnecessary hysterectomy, Victor rashly counsels the couple to refuse a settlement that would keep the hospital's malpractice a secret. Meanwhile, Markowitz goes to federal court to represent Upton Weeks, a long-term client and tax rebel. Zoey becomes stressed out in dealing with two cases simultaneously which involve trying to prosecute two gang members who accidentally killed a woman's child in a drive-by shooting, and a mugger who robbed an elderly man. Grace discovers that she is pregnant with Victor's baby. After an after hours meeting with McKenzie, Rosalind accidentally steps into an empty elevator shaft and falls to her death.
