    A Family Thing

    Addison disagrees with Naomi on the designer baby methods she did for Molly and Eric Madison in order to save their 7 year old son. But when 6-month pregnant Molly decides to bring on her labor as her son's condition deteriorates it is up to Addison to save the baby and reluctantly donate the core blood to the baby's brother. Meanwhile, Cooper and Charlotte continue their behind closed doors affair and it causes him to abandon his usual annual holiday with Violet. Elsewhere, Pete asks Addison out just as Kevin comes back on the scene, Dell quits and Naomi tells Addison that the practice is in trouble which causes Sam to relieve her of administrative duties.

    Violet and Sam try to find some common ground when a man she's treating kills his wife, who's being treated by Sam for an incurable kidney disease. When Meg gets a job at Oceanside, she gets off on the wrong foot by offering services not supported by the partners. Addison is caught in the middle of a tug-of-war in which a woman in a coma goes into labor and the father won't permit a C-section in order to save the baby in hopes that labor will bring the mother out of the coma.

Addison struggles with a prospective med student when she doesn't agree with the way her school is being paid for, while Kevin treats her like she's flaunting her money in his face.

Violet discovers she's pregnant, but the real complication lies in the identity of the father. Cooper is all for Charlotte's proposal, but they don't exactly see eye to eye on the method of carrying it out. Pete and Sam don't see eye to eye, either, over a doctor with cancer and wants them to help him die. Addison has to step in when complications from birth arise concerning a baby who's about to be adopted.
