Brackman loses his pocket watch and acquires an unlikely writing partner when one of the convicts he met in jail turns up. Gwen receives more of the mysterious gifts and suspects Morales is behind it since all of the gifts are from children's nursery books that he keeps for his infant daughter. Also, Mullaney sees Roxanne in a new light.
