The note is signed by none other than the man who would later become Canada's first Prime Minister, Sir John A. MacDonald. The dead man is soon identified and Murdoch's old nemesis from Ottawa, spook Terence Meyers, is on the scene as well. Among them is Anton Wocek who is later found dead in a warehouse with Meyers standing by him with the gun in his hand.
