Danny was about to apprehend a known drug dealer but a man who accompanied him starts shooting and even the dealer is hit. Danny goes to the hospital to talk to him but Linda won't let him. Later the shooter kills someone else. And when the dealer dies, Danny is upset with Linda. Danny asks Jamie to help his son with a soap box derby that the family has won since Frank joined. And a rival family tells them, they're going to get them. And Henry reveals to Frank why they've been winning. And Erin is promoted. On her first day, one of the prosecutors, tells her she prosecuting a case and the defendant is facing his third strike. So she looked at his previous convictions and learns that one of them might be questionable and Erin looks into it and the one who prosecuted it was the person who promoted her.

When Erin is assigned to investigate a case in which an on-duty police officer is accused of killing a suspect already in custody, Frank urges her to stick to the facts to avoid a publicity scandal for the NYPD. Meanwhile, Jamie urges Eddie to forgive her father for his past mistakes.

An undercover cop is shot. An investigation shows that the cop had personal secrets. A junkie approaches Erin asking for help, but when Erin recognizes him as a friend of Nicky, he runs away. Nicky asks Erin and Jamie to help find him again.

Danny gets himself into trouble after being told not to pursue a suicide case of a C.I. of the D.A. Jamie and Janko get involved in an immigration case of couple wanting to get married, but the bride's father is against them.
