episode S3.E17 may 1989Grace has mixed feelings when she prosecutes a wealthy businessman for killing a homeless man for scourging around the garbage outside his house, as well as dealing with a crazed activist supporting the homeless. Meanwhile, Kuzak represents Abby when she agrees to testify before a grand jury seeking to indict her for money laundering. Brackman enlists Benny as a silent partner when he goes to interview Leo Hackett, a potentially new client. Hackett then introduces Benny to his retarded and withdrawn daughter, Alice, whom Benny develops a crush on. Rollins volunteers to help Diana with her divorce, and Roxanne has second thoughts about Becker's approach of handling her own divorce from Dave Meyer. Becker represents a wine maker in a court case over the property of the family winery. Roxanne, frazzled and overworked, yearns for something more in her life: a baby. Rollins comes back to work at the firm after losing the election and tries to apologize to an angry Kelsey while facing a cold reception from most of the office due to the tabloids publishing his racist views which he made during the election campaign.
