A new panther arrives at Paris zoo. The director is really proud of her and gets mad when Kim says the panther is not as fast as him. The Hawk Moth takes advantage and influences the director of the zoo, who becomes Animan.

Marinette is entrusted with the design of the cover for Jagged Stone's new album. But she doesn't dare follow her intuition and Jagged rejects her design. Marinette decides to do it again, but this time, her way. But in the meantime, Jagged has been akumatized!

It's Christmas in Paris, a time for generosity, giving and spending time with family. When the news of his disappearance spreads all over Paris, Adrien's friends go out searching for him while Marinette transforms as Ladybug to search the cold and snow for the boy she secretly loves. But things get worse when she accidentally causes a man dressed as Santa to get akumatized on Christmas Eve, now Ladybug and Cat Noir have to stop him before he destroys the holiday for everyone.

After Marinette learns more about the Miraculous book she took from Adrien, she begins to suspect his father of being Hawkmoth. Meanwhile, Gabriel, furious over Adrien losing the book, gets akumatized into The Collector.

After Chloe's latest prank puts her friendship with Adrien at risk, she throws a party at the hotel for the entire class in an attempted display of niceness. However, she snaps after seeing Adrien dancing with Marinette and lashes out at her butler, getting him akumatized into Despair Bear.

Nadja Chamack, news reporter, invites Ladybug and Cat Noir for an interview. Nadja, noticing the playful conversation between the 2 superheros, questions if they are a couple. Ladybug denies they are together and Cat gives little remarks that make it seem like they are. Not wanting to answer personal questions that could reveal her identity, Ladybug leaves the interview before it is over. Nadja's ratings drop and her boss tells her she can no longer have her prime time show. Hawkmoth sends an akuma and turns her into Prime Queen, a villain who can reach through screens and can handle all things tech. Prime Queen uses people who called into her show as bait for Ladybug and Cat Noir. Prime Queen puts them through the tasks of saving Chloe from a speeding train and Alya from falling and drowning in a river. Prime Queen's main goal is for the superheros to confess their love for one another and to take the miraculouses.

Marinette's grandma visits and gets akumatized into the Befena.

A mysterious masked fencer is humiliated in a duel against Adrien. Boiling with rage, it breaks and it is akumatized in Riposte, and its saber seeks revenge.

Markov, a small robot invented by Max is akumatized in Robostus, a villain that can give life to unanimated objects.

The group scatters and Ladybug fights Desperada, but is forced to retreat. Lucky Charm directs her to Master Fu, where she takes the Snake Miraculous and gives it to Adrien. Adrien decides to forego his role as Cat Noir in order to woo Ladybug directly and transforms into the snake superhero "Aspik", but after so many "second chances", his role ends up getting Ladybug hit by Desperada's power over and over again in so many ways. Realizing the error in his role, Adrien suggests to Ladybug that Luka should wield the Snake Miraculous instead. This allows Adrien to go back to being Cat Noir in which he's comfortable in. Luka transforms into the snake superhero "Viperion", and with a couple more "second chances", Ladybug, Cat Noir and Viperion are able to defeat Desperada. Afterwards, Jagged apologizes to Vivica and rehires her.

Nino throws a party for Adrien, but when Wayhem can't get in, he is akumatized into Party Crasher.

Ladybug and Cat Noir challenge the Bourgeois couple. Now Heart Hunter, a two-headed Cerberus that devours all the love in Paris.

Since becoming the new guardian of the Miracle Box, Marinette has been overwhelmed. She doesn't see her friends anymore, abandons Cat Noir, and misses all her dates with Luka. Luka senses that Marinette has a secret, but she can't tell him that when she leaves, it is to become Ladybug and save Paris. Deeply hurt that Marinette doesn't trust him enough to confide her secret, Luka is akumatized into Truth. Helped by his sentimonster, Pharo, a giant eye capable of immobilizing people so that way Truth can hit people with his beam to tell the truth, he not only wants to know Marinette's secret but also Ladybug and Cat Noir's secret for Shadow Moth.

In 'Lies', Kagami thinks that Adrien doesn't love her, and because he's also Cat Noir, he always has to lie to leave her so he can save Paris. Then Kagami finds the lucky charm Marinette gave Adrien, which just adds fuel to her anger.

Marinette has avoided Luka at all costs since she broke up with him, because she likes Adrien, but the situation is affecting her friends. They decide to help the two talk on Juleka's birthday. The plan goes wrong and two people are akumatized.
