When they find a one-million dollar life insurance on behalf of Linda, his wife becomes their prime suspect.

Luckily Lieutenant Horatio Caine of the Miami CSI team takes brilliant charge, realizing it's the MO of a Florida serial killer of socialite couples, who spared the girl but eliminated all other witnesses and clearly isn't done yet, even sets a trap for the police.

Sara decides to reopen the cold case using the bullet withdrawn in the surgery to try to find the criminal.

She finds Lindsey in a car in the water but she rescues her. Sara and Det. Vega investigate the case and they suspect that Eddie is dead. Meanwhile Grissom concludes that both victims may have been dead by insulin and they were employees of Lady Heather. Grissom and Catherine visit the suspect Rebecca and meet her husband Steven McCormick that tells to them a weird story. Then he goes with Capt. Brass to Lady Heather's house. Grissom has a personal moment with Lady Heather and when he learns that she is diabetic, he requests a warranty to get her insulin.

Grissom and Catherine arrive to investigate the crime scene and gunshots start. Grissom finds that the bullets are in the trunk in bag. Nick and Capt. Brass help the investigation. Soon they learn that the driver is Air Marshall Adam Watson, and the car was rented in an agency. Nick puts together the pieces of the bomb, which was a pipe bomb connected to the car clock. Soon they conclude that the victim might have been the previous user of the rented car since the timer was not accurate. Meanwhile, Sara, Warrick and Det. Louis Vartann investigate the death of Amelia Reuben, who is the wife of the successful singer Myles Reuben. They conclude that Myles, his manager Sam Hopkins and a hotel waiter were the last persons to see Amelia alive, and the autopsy and Greg's investigation concluded that she was poisoned.

    In the Mediterranean Casino, Ty Caulfield is speaking for guests that the casino will exhibit rare Japanese antiques from the Seventeenth Century owned by Mr. Yuri Yamamoto in the casino. Out of the blue, a woman cries and they see a body floating in the pool and a live wire at the edge. Grissom, Sara and Capt. Brass investigate the case and soon they find that the body is a CPR dummy. They hear the security alarm and find the guard wrapped up in duct tape, and the samurai sword is missing. They investigate the findings and return to the exhibition room to collect other evidences but the room is empty. The head of the casino security tells that the pieces have been transported to the casino vault to be in a secure place. Soon Grissom finds the sword hidden in an air duct and questions Yamamoto why a Nineteenth Century armor was together with the other pieces Surprisingly Yamamoto say that he has no armor in his collection. They go to the vault with Ty and find that all the casino money has been stolen, in a masterstroke. But their findings do not stop. Meanwhile, Catherine and Warrick go to an abandoned house with fame of haunted and find the corpse of Angela Sommerville with two holes in her jugular vein and drained without any blood. Further, there is no gore in the crime scene. Soon they learn that Angela used acrylic fangs and her friends belonged to a vampire "coven".

Soon they find that the jewels have been robbed and Laurel had made porn films in the past with the production of Drake the Snake. Catherine goes to the Acid Drop and interviews the manager Chris Bezich first and Drake, who is bartender, later. Their further investigation shows that Mike's former partner Kyle Goode is suing him in the justice. When Grissom is summed to a murder case in an apartment, he finds evidences that will help him to resolve the case.

They believe the woman was trying to flee from the correctional facility. Soon they learn that the victim is Antoinette "Baby Girl" Stella that would be released on the next month. Sara and Nick go to the prison to try to understand why Baby Girl decided to escape. Meanwhile, Grissom and Warrick investigate the murder of Adanto Adams who was stabbed to death at the home of his intellectually disabled brother Zero. Soon they meet Zero and his guardian Frank Samuels and they learn that Adanto has promised to his beloved brother Zero that they would be rich. Warrick gets the videotape of the casino where Adanto went to play blackjack and lost a fortune.

When they identify the killer, Walter Darian, they arrest him; however, the guy attacks Grissom first in the interrogation room and then the guards that try to subdue him. Out of the blue, Walter is dead. Now, they investigate his belongings since he was an accumulator and find evidence that may lead them to another murder case.

    There is a fire in a house and Catherine, Nick, Warrick arrive at the scene. An arson investigator tells them that there was a fire in the block ten days ago, maybe caused by a serial arsonist. The Abernathy family is rescued, but the daughter Sabrina that was not supposed to be at home is found dead. They begin their investigation looking for the origin of the fire and for suspects. Meanwhile, Grissom, Sara and Capt. Brass investigate the death of a man found dead in a hotel bathroom. In the autopsy, Dr. Robins finds a round tile with the letter in his throat, and five more tiles in his stomach. Brass identifies the victim and Adam Brenner from Florida that was in Las Vegas to participate in a logo game tournament. Soon Grissom learns that Adam was a top player and Grissom looks for opponents defeated by Adams that might be angry.

Louis Vartann investigate the murder of officers Manny Senteno and Patricia Fielding in a hotel room. Warrick's first impression is that might be a murder-suicide case. Soon they find fingerprints of the police officer Lydia Lopez and learn that she was lodged in the next-door room. When they look inside the room, it is completely trashed. Lydia says that she had sex with a Manny once a year during the marathon and she believes that her husband Archie Lopez might have followed her and trashed her room, but would never kill Manny and Patricia.

Grissom shows a nut to Woody and he says that it would be impossible to cause the train derail since there are eight sets that would have to lose. Meanwhile, Catherine and Warrick investigate the murder of the thirteen-year-old Tessa Press that was found murdered but not raped. Her mother Raina tells them that Tessa used to go to the house of a friend twice a week and she had assumed that her daughter was with her friend. Now they need to find what has happened to her.

Soon they learn that the victim is the stripper Nicole "Raven" Richards that drugged Carl to rob him. Warrick and Det. Chris Cavaliere investigate the death of Lance Frazer, a loser that died in the bathtub electrified by heat exchanger causing a short circuit in the motel. Soon Warrick learns that Lance hit a fifty-thousand-dollar jackpot on the previous night. Nick, Sara and Det. Travis investigate an "alien" buried in a shallow grave near the Area 51.

When they leave the place, a sewage worker shows some bones they have found while working. Soon they learn that other bones were found in the sewage drain and try to find the point of origin, while they also research the missing persons database. Capt. Brass talks to a resident of the neighborhood and he complains of a bully teenager, Owen Durbin. Soon his family becomes the prime suspect of the case.

When they meet Jimmy, the boy tells them that Alicia was upset since she would have to donate her kidney to Daniel and she liked to play soccer. When they find the body of Alicia dumped on the road, they make news discoveries about the case.

Brass investigate the death of Elliot Beckman, whose house was fumigated and his body was found inside. The exterminators tell them that the house was supposed to be empty when they released the gas.

They interview the owners of the house and guests and collect the water in the swimming pools to see if any of them match the water in the lungs of Vanessa. Mia examines the DNAs in the several condoms in the garbage bin. Meanwhile, Warrick, Nick and Det. Chris Cavaliere investigate the murder Mr. Basengi, the landlord of a video arcade. They find an eviction notice to the tenants are Melissa Poolie and Charlie Pinscher that become prime suspects. They visit Charlie that tells that Melissa was his girlfriend and left him with the rent. They learn from Marty Gleason, a member of the crime scene cleanup, that the place has a decomposed smell and Warrick and Nick find the body of Melissa hidden in a game and Charlie is brought back to the interrogation room.

    While in a dinner party to celebrate the retirement of Director of Robert Cavallo and the promotion of Conrad Ecklie, Grissom is summoned by Capt. Brass to investigation a homicide in the Olympia Hotel. He stumbles upon Ecklie's right hand Sofia Curtis in the elevator and they go with Brass to the suite where they see the body of the teenage Nicole Jensen next to vomit. Soon they learn that the suite was reserved by the hotel's owner Charlie Macklin for his daughter Janelle. The McKinley High School is giving a homecoming party in the ballroom, but Janelle is giving a private party in the suite. Catherine, Nick and Warrick join the investigation and interview the guests. They note that Janelle is missing and they learn that two masked kidnappers have abducted Janelle. When Catherien and Sheriff Atwater interview Charlie, he tells them that he knows his daughter and that was a prank to get his attention. The CSI team proceeds the investigation and find the truth of what happened during the night.

    Ch-Ch-Changes

    While driving her convertible at high-speed in the highway, a woman is stopped by a patrolman. Catherine and Grissom arrive later to the highway where the woman was found with slit throat and slashed genitals in her car. They also find a camcorder with no tape on the floor. The entire team investigate the case and Warrick and Sara find documents in the car, showing that the victim is Wendy Garner and the car's registration and the driver's license in the name of Walter Clancy. When Dr. Robbins finds a prostate in the victim, the team learns that she was a transsexual, and soon concludes that Wendy and Walter were the same person. When Grissom and Brass investigate Wendy's fiancé Aaron Laner, they learn that he does not know that Wendy was a transsexual. The team also interview her fellow dancers and learn that Dr. Mercer is the responsible for most of the transsexuals' operation. However, the doctor tells Catherine and Warrick that he refused to operate Wendy since she wanted to jump steps of the procedure required by the law. Now they are looking for the surgeon that might have operated Wendy.

    While giving his testimony in a retrial, Grissom sees fingerprints on a matchbox that he does not recall. The victim Max Larson was found dead I his hardware store hit by a wrench. He follows the protocol and assigns Catherine, Warrick and Nick to investigate the case again and why they have missed the fingerprint in their investigation. Ecklie asks Sofia to investigate Grissom's cases and begins a witch hunt in the laboratory. Meanwhile, Sara, Greg and Det. Louis Vartann investigate the case of a John Doe, who died after shooting his own leg. When they succeed to find the register of the gun, they find clue of another case.

    No Humans Involved

    Grissom, Sofia and Greg investigate a gang shooting with two victims. Out of the blue, Greg finds the body of a young boy dumped in a trash bin. Sara and David Phillips join the investigation. Dr. Robbins notes in the autopsy that the boy was around five years old, was abused with several recent fractures and died of starvation. A further investigation identifies the boy as Devon Malton and Sara and Capt. Brass visit the foster home where he lived with Lorna Tenney. Meanwhile, Catherine, Nick, Warrick and Det. Louis Vartann investigate the case of the prisoner Samuel Mendez that was beaten up in a riot in a cell and now is brain dead. Warrick sees a gun in the cell that was under Samuels body. Lt. Arthur Chen that is the responsible for the prisoners has an argument with Warrick when he comments about a sloppy police search and abuse of force. Soon they learn that Samuel Mendez is not the wanted criminal but an innocent namesake.

    Greg is doing his final proficiency test and he has a case to solve. Ironically, he investigates the death of a Sherlock Holmes- wannabe, obsessive to the point of recreating the great detective's living room in his home. He died from a close-range gunshot wound. The murder weapon is not found in the scene although everything other pieces of evidence suggest that it was a suicide. Working under Catherine, Nick and Warrick works on a case of a dead guy found in his car which veered off the highway. Dr. Robbins cannot find the cause of death and it is left to the two detectives to solve the mystery.

    When a delivery boy finds a severed head with the hair ripped off inside a newspaper stand, Catherine, Nick and Det. Sam Vega assume the case. In the autopsy, Dr. Robbins pull out a snake from her mouth and finds the serial number of her bridgework. The victim is identified as Veronica Juarez, and the investigators find a diploma from a university on the wall. They believe she is a gangbanger and they see a poster of the band Extremo. Nick and Det. Vega visit the club where Extremo is playing and they identify the victim as Carla. Soon they learn that the song that Extremo is playing is a ten-year-old narcocorrido that describes the way Veronica was murdered. Meanwhile, Greg, Sofia, Warrick and Capt. Brass investigate the murder of a man wearing and expensive suit shot in the head in the driver's seat of a handicap van. They identify the victim as Vincent Decarlo and they find that the victim was shot from a wheelchair. Soon they learn that the wheelchair belongs to Bonnie Bakerset, who lives in a nursing home, and a nice salesman has sold many things to Bonnie that has just died.

    Nesting Dolls

    When a body is found at a construction site, Catherine, Warrick, Nick and Sara investigate the case. They dig the spot and Nick finds a third foot, indicating that there is a second body in the place. Grissom helps Catherine to get the bodies without damage out of the large block of tar using liquid nitrogen. Sara rebuilds the face of the upper victim with plaster and comparing the mold with photos of women victim of abuse, they identify her as Svetlana Melton. They interview Andrew Melton, her ex-husband that now is married with the Asian June. Meanwhile, Sara has a friction with Catherine and Ecklie suspends her, and asks Grissom to fire her.

    When the young mother Lori Kyman is reported missing by her husband, Grissom and Sofia meets with Capt. Brass on the highway where her car was found with flat tire. Sara and Capt. Brass go to Lori's house to interview her husband Mark, and they find her best friend Amy Maynard. Lori's stepmother Diane Hoyt arrives and confirms Mark's alibi. Soon Greg finds that the valve of the flat tire in Lori's car was unscrewed leaking the air, and he finds prints. Meanwhile, Catherine, Warrick and Nick investigate the deaths of the hunter Rod Hollis with claws around his neck and a Kodiak bear in the woods. However, the animal is not native from the area. In the autopsy, Dr. Robbins finds that bear was shot twice, by Hollis' rifle and by a Magnum .357 that was used in a robbery and belongs to Aaron Colite. A microchip in the bear shows that he belonged to Clark County Zoo and was bought by a broker.

The CSI team proceeds the investigation and finds two other suspects: Ty's father Martin and the homeless Walter. Who might be the murderer?

Meanwhile, the model Gwen that is working at the convention, goes to the house of her personal trainer Paul Charles to workout and sees him dead through the window. Greg and Sara investigate the crime scene while Dr. Robbins carries out the autopsy. When he sees a black substance in his eye, Hazmat takes Sara and Greg to the decontamination shower. When the body of a boy is found on a bus stop bench covered by a blanket in front of a laundromat, Nick investigates the case. Dr. Robbins tells Nick that the cause of death was asphyxia from heat damage. They identify the victim is Chase Ryan and Nick tries to understand what might have happened to the boy.

Jersey is Ellie and her father is Capt. Brass, who asks for a leave to the sheriff to resolve family problems. He contacts his old friend and LAPD Captain Annie Kramer, who gives their police records to Brass and he learns that Ellie works on the streets and her last address. When the car is located with broken windows, Capt. Kramer call one local CSI investigator that brings Warrick that is in a conference with him. Kramer and Brass visits the owner of the car, Assistant City Attorney Todd Piccone, who has not reported that his car was carjacked. He becomes a suspect but The Powers That Be seems to be not interested in resolving the case.

When they identity the recovered semen belonging to Adam Trent, they change the line of their investigation.

While sleeping, Catherine gets a call from Grissom and heads to the crime scene, where Alice Granger is found dead with a shot in her head. When Det. Vartann find her car nearby the bar where Catherine was, she goes with him to investigate. When she finds a matchbook in the belongings of Alice with a phone number, she heads home to find Adam's matchbook, but it has been thrown in the garbage. Their further investigation indicates that her ex-boyfriend, Jeff Simon, might be the killer, but he had a strong alibi. Catherine tries to tell to Grissom about her possible involvement in the case, but he does not give much attention to her. But when a second victim is found with the same M.O., they realize that the killer might be the same.

Meanwhile, Catherine, Warrick and Nick join to David Phillip in the middle of a crop circle to investigate the death of a man. In the autopsy, they learn that the victim has urinated in his underwear. When the CSI team locates the owner of the helicopter that was in that area, they learn what has happened to Kevin Staniland. Meanwhile, Det. Louis Vartann finds that no investigator is available and Conrad Ecklie is forced to go with him to the Tangiers since there is a dead body needing to be processed. They learn that the victim is James Billmeyer from New Jersey and Ecklie requests the shoes of the woman that found the body since she stepped on the blood. When James' body vanishes from the morgue there is a further investigation.

Their first suspect is the maintenance guy but his duct tape is different from the one used in Christina. Archie examines the elevator camera and sees a young man with flowers getting off at her floor. Later he is identified as Dwight Reynolds, who used to date Christina. Soon they believe the person of interest is a fireman. When the team crosses Christina's case with other recent cases, they succeed to find the suspect.

So he was rewarded with a dream trip to Las Vegas. When Det. Sofia and Nick located the rented Ferrari, they find small damages and soon they discover that a black Corvette was the responsible. They interview the driver, Randy Bolen, who admits that lost a large amount to Jeff in a single game. When they learn that the Caprice Unlimited rented the Ferrari and the Corvette, they find that the company realizes clients' fantasies and they start to solve the case.

All of this quickly becomes a hostage situation when Mr. Cutler, after shooting a security at a casino, holds a woman hostage.

On the next morning, Jersey reports to the police that Dakota is missing. The attending officer does not pay attention to her complaint and she calls her father on the phone asking for help. Jersey is Ellie and her father is Capt. Brass, who asks for a leave to the sheriff to resolve family problems. He contacts his old friend and LAPD Captain Annie Kramer, who gives their police records to Brass and he learns that Ellie works on the streets and her last address. When the car is located with broken windows, Capt. Kramer call one local CSI investigator that brings Warrick that is in a conference with him. Kramer and Brass visits the owner of the car, Assistant City Attorney Todd Piccone, who has not reported that his car was carjacked. He becomes a suspect but The Powers That Be seems to be not interested in resolving the case.
