Olivia is asked by Senator Davis to help locate a missing girl because her parents are his constituents. They find her, she appears to have been the victim of a hit and run. They find the person who struck her, only problem is that the man is a diplomat who has diplomatic immunity. Olivia goes to see the President to ask him to have the man's immunity lifted. But he refuses to do anything. Olivia is then called by someone from the White House who offers to help her. David continues to investigate why Quinn's case was derailed and discovers someone powerful.

A governor takes the law into his own hands when his wife is raped.

Olivia receives a coded warning that could expose Huck's past.

The team manages a billionaire who seems to have lost his sanity.

The President's shot upon arriving at what is supposed to be his birthday party. Olivia who's there, goes to the hospital. And she recalls moments from her days in the White House. The Vice President tries assume the duties of the President so Cyrus asks for Olivia's help.

Olivia helps the vice president.

Olivia and Cyrus gets word that Fitz is awake. So they go to the hospital and see he's still in a coma. Mellie was the one who spread the word that Fitz is awake to stop Hollis and Langston from making a move on the Presidency. So they try to keep the thing a secret. David is present when Huck who is being held under the Patriot Act and being tortured. When he learns the President is still alive he tells David the President is still in danger. So David goes to Olivia to try and get Huck released. She does and she asks him to help find the one who tried to kill the President.

Fitz calls a press conference to show that he is able to return to his duties. And we take a look at when during his campaign, when everyone (Cyrus, Mellie and Olivia) were concerned that he was down in the polls. They want to bring in Fitz's father but Fitz hates the man but Olivia convinces him to bring him in. And we see how Olvia brought Harrison, Huck and Abby to work with her.

Mellie tries to reel in Fitz, and flashbacks show the events leading up to what happened to Quinn, when she was formerly Lindsey Dwyer.

David learns the truth about the Cytron case; Things come to a head for Pope & Associates, with extreme measures to protect themselves and those they love.

Cyrus is going to christen his baby and asks Olivia and Fitz to be god parents. David wakes up and finds himself with a woman he met, who is dead. so he calls Olivia and they first try to find out who she is and they learn that she may have been sent to get info from David. And David is still upset with Olivia for costing him his job. And Fitz is dealing with some Americans who are being held so he decides whether or not to mount a rescue operation. And chooses not to tell those involved or aware of the rigged election that he knows. And when he does order a rescue, he gets a surprise.

Olivia is tasked with finding a woman for a Goburnatorial candidate who is rumored to be gay by his family. Fitz wants to rescue the hostages but he has to find out who the leak is. Cyrus and Mellie who feel as if Fitz is shutting them out tries to show the other up. And Olivia is seeing Jake socially. and it turns out that Jake was tasked with keeping an eye on Olivia by Fitz. David thinks someone is following him so he turns to Olivia. They later learn that he is being followed by someone who knows the girl whom he is being framed for killing. And she claims to know who really killed her and she could be next.

When the press learns that a man, whom the White House is considering supporting for the Supreme court, had an affair with one of his students years ago, who is now the CEO of a corporation. They camp out in front of the woman's house. Her lawyer sends Olivia to help her. Olivia starts by finding out if the affair is true. And when she says it is, Olivia advises her to be honest. But Cyrus wants to protect the man so he tells Oliva to tell her to deny but she's going to admit it. So Cyrus decides to smear her by making her appear to be a hussy. Olivis counters it. But the woman learns that her company is planning to fire because they say she violated the morality clause in her contract. Olivia tries to handle it but when evidence comes out that she and the man saw each when she was married, it threatens her job and marriage. Olivia asks Jake to get the info she got on the hostages being to held to someone who can do something about it. Huck and Quinn follow Osborne to find if he is really a traitor and how he does it.

Osborne, upon learning that Olivia's people are following him, goes to Olivia to find out why. Eventually Fitz learns that he's the mole but he denies it. Hollis Doyle goes to Olivia and shows her a video of his daughter being held captive and saying, that if her father wants to see her, to send 20 million dollars. But Hollis says that his daughter has always been a problem child and this could just be an act. When her ear arrives, they wonder if it's true or not.

After Osborne's suicide everyone thinks it was out of guilt that he was going to be outed as a traitor. The President then goes on TV to say that. But his wife goes to Olivia saying he didn't commit suicide and Olivia believes her. They discover that they were wrong about Osborne so they decide to look into things again. First they need to talk to Molly who was the one who pointed the finger at Osborne. But she's vanished.

While Olivia is unconscious in the hospital, Fitz goes and stands by her bedside. Huck has a breakdown after being locked up. He then recalls how he became who he is and how he met Liv.

Mellie has secretly moved into the Blair House and is threatening to reveal his infidelities unless he promises to be loyal to her. And he thinks she's bluffing while Cyrus says they should be worried. He tries to talk to Mellie but she stands her ground. Olivia's people learn that it was Charlie who attacked Huck at the storage facility and broke into Olivia's. Which makes them think Cyrus is the mole which Olivia doesn't believe. So they try to find him.

As they get closer to uncovering the mole's identity, Olivia and her team find themselves in an increasingly dangerous situation.
